Privacy Policy

Sutra ("we", "us") is a dating application operated by [LEGAL ENTITY]. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have.

What we collect

Account and profile. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive a stable account identifier from them (we never see your password). You then provide your name, birthdate, gender, photos, an optional voice introduction, interests, relationship goals, and an "about" text. Your birthdate is used to verify you are 18 or older and to display your age; the full date is never shown to other users.

Location. With your permission, your device's coordinates, or a city you pick manually. Used to show you people nearby and to display your city on your profile. Coordinates are stored with your profile; other users see distance and city, never raw coordinates.

Messages. Texts, photos, videos and voice messages you exchange with your matches, including "view-once" media. Messages are stored so we can deliver them and show your conversation history. Chat media is served only to the two participants of the conversation. If "screenshot alerts" are on, the other person receives a system message that you took a screenshot of the conversation (and vice versa).

Activity. Likes, passes, matches, blocks, when your profile was shown to others (impression counts), and when you were last active. Used for matching, for your own statistics screen, and to run the service.

Device. A push-notification token for your device (via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), your app language (from system settings), and technical logs (request identifiers, timestamps, status codes — never message bodies or query parameters). Crash and error reports go to our own server (not a third-party service): an installation identifier, app version, platform and request identifier — never message content, email or IP address.

App usage. We record usage events on our own servers (which screens were opened, onboarding steps, sign-in failures) together with an installation identifier, to see where people stop. Individual events are kept for 90 days; after that only daily totals remain.

Reports. If you report another user: the reason, your optional comment, and the context (which conversation or profile). Reports are anonymous to the reported user.

What we do NOT collect

We do not read your contacts, we do not track you across other apps or sites, we do not sell personal data, and our release builds do not write message content or tokens to device logs.

Who we share data with

Google / Apple — sign-in only (they confirm your identity to us).
Google Firebase — delivery of push notifications (your device token and the notification content pass through it).
Our hosting provider (servers located in Russia) — our servers run there; all data is stored on them.

No advertising networks, no data brokers, no analytics SDKs.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS). Session tokens are stored hashed on the server, so a database leak does not expose usable credentials. Sessions are short-lived and rotate automatically. Chat media is access-controlled per conversation. App data is excluded from device cloud backups, so your session and message cache never land in Google Drive / iCloud.

Deletion and your rights

Delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, photos and voice introduction, the media you sent in conversations (the actual files, not just links), matches, messages, likes, reports and sessions. It is immediate and irreversible.
Remove a photo — the file is deleted from our servers, not merely hidden.
Hide your profile — Settings → visibility; you stop appearing in Discovery.
You may request a copy of your data or corrections at support@mysutra.ru.

Some data may persist briefly in encrypted backups, which expire on a rolling basis of 14 days.

Age

Sutra is for adults only. We verify a declared age of 18+ at registration and on every profile update, and reject underage birthdates server-side.
